Migration was a project funded by the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) / CAPMARK Europe young artists awards. It enabled me to travel to Bulgaria to research and observe the avian spring migration through the Via Pontica flyway, Black Sea coast wetland district. The work incorporated five large paintings made in the field, note books, diaries, flyway maps based on spoonbill migrations, eggs from seven migratory species (ethically borrowed), an interpretation of Kramer's migrating sparrows research and light, all inside a purpose made vitrine.
